Privacy policy

Your documents

Urraca processes your PDFs and other files on your computer. Editing, conversion, OCR, protection and signing happen locally. We do not receive, store or have access to your documents.

Information the program uses

To activate a license, Urraca sends our servers the license key and the minimum information needed to validate it.

To check for updates, our server receives the installed version, the identifier of the updater and, as with any connection on the internet, your IP address.

None of these connections include your documents, their names or their content.

Optional bandwidth sharing (Bright SDK)

Urraca offers an optional way to get Premium for free: sharing part of your unused internet connection through Bright SDK, a service by Bright Data. It is only enabled if you explicitly accept it, and you can turn it off anytime in the settings.

If you enable it, Bright Data may use your connection to access public web pages under its own terms and privacy policy. Bright SDK does not access your files or documents. More information: bright-sdk.com.

Error reports (optional, off by default)

Urraca can send anonymous error reports to help us find and fix problems. They are off until you turn them on. The program asks you once, and until you say yes, it sends nothing at all. You can change your choice at any time in Home → Privacy, where you can also see what has been sent.

Each report contains only: the Urraca version, the Windows build, the processor architecture, the interface language, the type of error and its code, how many times it happened, and the day.

Reports never include file names, folder paths, the content of your documents, OCR text, searches, system error messages, the name of your computer or user, or any identifier of your installation. If a report contains anything other than the fields listed above, our server rejects it completely.

As with any connection on the internet, your IP address is visible when a report is sent. Our server does not read or store it, and our error service, Sentry, is configured not to store IP addresses. We use Sentry only to group reports and count how often each error occurs.

This website

If you sign up to be notified about the launch, we store your email address, the language of the page you used and the date. We use it only to send you the launch notice and important product news. We don’t sell it or share it with anyone. You can ask us to delete it at any time.

The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes technical data such as your IP address to deliver pages and protect against attacks. We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies. We only store a cookie with your preferred language if you change it.

Payments

Payments are handled by our payment provider. We don’t store your card details. For business invoices we keep the tax information needed to issue them.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your information, or object to its use, by writing to privacy@urracapdf.com. We’ll reply within 20 business days.

Changes

If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top of this page. If the change is significant, we’ll let you know by email.
